ZZ Ward Tour
ZZ Ward is a singer, musician, and song writer. She is currently contracted to the Boardwalk Entertainment Group and Hollywood Records. She was born and raised in Abington, Pennsylvania.
Ward’s first taste of music and performing came from her father’s band that she joined at the age of 12. She fondly recalls the very first song she sang, an Albert King track titled As the Years Go Passing By. Soon after, she shifted to Los Angeles and contracted with E. Kidd Bogart’s Boardwalk Entertainment Group. After that, she started working on her maiden album, which would include the works of the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Ryan Tedder, Pete Rock, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Theron “Neff-U” Feemster and Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums.
On May 8, 2012, she released her debut album Criminal followed by Til the Casket Drops on October 16, 2012. Her first song “Put The Gun Down”, made its way into the Top 10 on the AAA radio chart and remained there for 10 weeks.
Her popularity and public acclaim shot up when Ward performed “Put The Gun Down”, on VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagen on September 19, 2012, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on November 1, 2012, and Conan on January 10, 2013.
Ward was deserving named one of Fuse TV’s 30 must-see artists at SXSW in March 2013.
